WHAT YOU CAN DO THIS WEEK
Ask God to help you discern any anger that you have in your heart towards yourself, someone else, or some other thing. Listen to your thoughts and feelings as you wait. What surfaced? Discuss with Him what they reveal about what you believe and how this anger has hurt you and your relationship with Him. What seems to be fueling this anger? Ask God to guide you in dealing with this anger and any specific healthy actions you can take.

The soundtrack of our world and culture is anxiety, depression, anger, and shame, telling us we’re unloved, unsafe, unworthy, and not secure. And if we only focus on our own thoughts, feelings, and insecurities, truth can easily be drowned out. This is not of God. We need to listen to Jesus. His soundtrack is his word, declaring we are seen, loved, valued, and safe. It’s time to change the track! But how do we do this? We have to actively listen. We focus on God’s soundtrack through His word, His people, and His worship. Philippians 4:8 says, “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” This is exactly what we are called to do.
