Heaven Is Easy to Miss

Matt Brown

What if the biggest things in life are the easiest to overlook? This week at Sandals Church, Pastor Matthew Stephen Brown takes us through a powerful section of the Gospel of Matthew that challenges us to slow down and examine the path we’re on. Are we following what’s trending, or something deeper? Can we tell the difference between what just looks good and what’s truly healthy? This message offers clarity in the midst of confusion—inviting anyone, from any background, to reflect on the voices we trust, the values we hold, and the kind of life we’re building.

WHAT YOU CAN DO THIS WEEK

Are there any ways you’ve begun to drift toward what feels easier or more popular instead of what’s true and faithful Invite God to reveal anything that’s quietly pulling you away from Him. Ask God to help you recognize the voices you’re listening to. Are they producing the kind of fruit that looks like Jesus, such as humility, peace, and love? Or are they stirring up confusion, fear, or pride? Ask God for discernment and courage to follow His voice, even when it’s hard. Jesus says eternal life is found in knowing Him; not in what we do for Him, but in being in relationship with Him. What does that look like for you right now? Has your faith become more about activity than intimacy? Invite Him to keep your heart soft, your ears open, and your steps aligned with His. Thank Him for His love and for never giving up on you, no matter where you’ve been or how far you’ve wandered.
