is all about trusting God

I
must trust God that…

1. Being single is a blessing

But
I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift
from God, of one kind or another. So I say to those who aren’t married and to
widows—it’s better to stay unmarried, just as I am. 1 CORINTHIANS 7:7-8 NLT

2. He can meet my needs for intimacy through

His presence

Take
delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. PSALM 37:4 NLT

Be
still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t
worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. PSALM
37:7 NLT

His Family

This
is my commandment: Love each
other in the same way I have loved you.
JOHN 15:12 NLT

3. He knows What to look for in a spouse

O my
son, O son of my womb, O son of my vows, do not waste your strength on women,
on those who ruin kings. PROVERBS 31:2-3 NLT

They must love Him more than me

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. PROVERBS 31:30 NLT

Their word is their bond

Who can find a virtuous
and capable wife? She is more precious
than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She
brings him good, not harm, all the days
of her life. PROVERBS 31:10-12 NLT

They are kind to other people

She extends a helping hand to the poor and
opens her arms to the needy. PROVERBS 31:20 NLT

They have a passion to work hard

She
goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She
is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She makes sure her dealings are
profitable; her lamp burns late into the night. PROVERBS 31:16-18 NLT

They are secure in who they are

Her husband is well known at the city gates, where
he sits with the other civic leaders… She is clothed with strength and dignity, and
she laughs without fear of the future. PROVERBS 31:23;25 NLT

They will make a great parent

Her
children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous
and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” PROVERBS 31:28-29
