Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an
angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on
it. His face shone like lightning, and his
clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him,
and they fell into a dead faint. Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be
afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just
as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and tell his disciples
that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You
will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were
very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to give the

proved
there is life after death
Jesus told her, “I am the
resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after

Christ died for us so that, whether
we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:10 NLT
Jesus
warns us of judgment after death
Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the
time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s
Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience
eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience
judgment. JOHN 5:28-29 NLT
I saw the dead, both great and small,
standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of
Life. And the dead were judged according
to what they had done, as recorded in the books. REVELATION 20:12 NLT
Jesus
came to save me from judgment
“For God loved the world so much that he gave
his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but
have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but
to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who
believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged
for not believing in God’s one and only Son. JOHN 3:16-18 NLT
Why do I have to believe in Jesus?
Jesus
is the judge
In addition, the Father judges no one. Instead, he has given
the Son absolute authority to judge.
