How To Make Your Dreams Come True

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” JEREMIAH 29:11 NLT

Make sure the dream comes from God

“In the last days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.” ACTS 2:17 NLT

God dreams always move me

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. ROMANS 12:2 NLT

God dreams are always good

In the same way, these people—who claim authority from their dreams—live immoral lives, defy authority, and scoff at supernatural beings. JUDE 8 NLT

God uses leaders to clarify dreams

Do not listen to your false prophets, fortune-tellers, interpreters of dreams, mediums, and sorcerers who say, “The king of Babylon will not conquer you.” JEREMIAH 27:9 NLT

God’s dream for your life takes honesty with yourself

It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them. PROVERBS 13:19 NLT
The key to any dream is not just seeing where you want to go, but being honest about where you are.

God dreams take teams

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 NLT
The bigger the dream the bigger the team.

Never give up on God’s dreams for your life

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. GALATIANS 6:9 NLT
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. LUKE 18:1 NLT
Here’s the reward I have for every conqueror, everyone who keeps at it, refusing to give up: You’ll rule the nations. REVELATION 2:26 MSG
If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. MARK 8:35 NLT

Personal Reflection Guide

Find a quiet space where you can sit for a few moments in God’s presence. Spend a moment reflecting on the desires that you have in your life. Be open to whatever may come up in you. Invite God into this space and ask him to give life to it so that you might dream with him. You might find that there is a dream that seems bigger than you are or not big enough. Invite God into this space, too, and ask him how this dream will serve him and his kingdom. As you close this time, ask God what it would look like to take your next step to walk these dreams out in your life with him.
