THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN SPEAK WORDS OF WISDOM TO ME THAT I SHARE WITH OTHERS
Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives — especially the ability to prophesy. 1 CORINTHIANS 14:1 NLT

THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN HELP ME PRAY
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. ROMANS 8:26 NLT
Pray in tongues
For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying. 1 CORINTHIANS 14:14 NLT
Do we all have the ability to speak in unknown languages? Do we all have the ability to interpret unknown languages? Of course not! 1 CORINTHIANS 12:30 NLT
I thank God that I speak in tongues more than any of you. 19 But in a church meeting I would rather speak five understandable words to help others than ten thousand words in an unknown language. 1 CORINTHIANS 14:18-19 NLT
Pray powerfully
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. ROMANS 8:11 NLT
Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. JAMES 5:14-15 NLT
THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN INSPIRE MY PRAISE AND WORSHIP

It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. 1 CORINTHIANS 12:11 NLT

Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. - START HERE: Whose voice do you recognize in a crowd? Why do you know their voice so well?
- START HERE: When you need direction or clarity, where do you naturally turn first? What helps you slow down, ask for help, and truly listen to what someone says?
- KEEP GOING: Read Revelation 2:7 NLT and Hebrews 3:7-8 NLT. What do these passages reveal about the Holy Spirit speaking to us? What makes you more or less willing to listen?
- KEEP GOING: In what ways do scripture and the Holy Spirit work together? How has knowing scripture helped you recognize and respond to what the Holy Spirit has or may be saying to you?
- KEEP GOING: Read Romans 8:26 NLT and 1 Corinthians 14:15 NLT. Think about a time you’ve wanted to pray or worship God but didn't feel you had the words or strength. How do these verses encourage or challenge you?
- KEEP GOING: Read 1 Corinthians 12:11 NLT and 1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT. The Holy Spirit decides what gifts we receive, but we decide whether we will use them. What gift do you believe God has given you? Is anything keeping you from using that gift more fully?
- LIVE IT OUT: Pray for someone in your life, then take a moment to listen for the Holy Spirit. Is there any encouragement, truth, or reminder you sense He may want you to share? What would it look like to humbly offer that to them this week?
