Colossians 3:18-4:1

READ THE BIBLE SLOWLY AND
STRATEGICALLY

Wives, submit to your
husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your
wives and never treat them harshly. Children, always obey your parents, for
this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not aggravate your children, or they will
become discouraged. Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try
to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Serve them
sincerely because of your reverent fear of the Lord. Work willingly at whatever
you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that
the Master you are serving is Christ. But if you do what is wrong, you will be
paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites. Masters, be
just and fair to your slaves. Remember that you also have a Master—in heaven.
COLOSSIANS 3:18-4:1 NLT

EXTRACT GOD’S MAIN THOUGHT
OR POINT

God requires a willing
heart.

Serve them sincerely
because of your reverent fear of the Lord. Work willingly at whatever you do,
as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. COLOSSIANS 3:22-23 NLT

God will reward a
willing heart.

A man with leprosy came and
knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can
heal me and make me clean,” he said. Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out
and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” MARK 1:40-41 NLT

Remember that the Lord will
give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is
Christ. COLOSSIANS 3:24 NLT

yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
COLOSSIANS 3:14 NLT

… I’m able to receive
God’s gift of peace.

And let the peace that
comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are
called to live in peace. COLOSSIANS 3:15 NLT

“I am leaving you with a
gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot
give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. JOHN 14:27 NLT
